CERELAC Carrot Cake Squares

  • 80ml raisins
  • 60ml sultanas
  • 1 carrot, peeled and finely grated
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 30ml golden syrup
  • 5ml mixed spice
  • 5ml ground cinnamon
  • 4 small, very ripe bananas, peeled and mashed
  • 2 ½ cups Nestlé Cerelac Regular


  • Preheat the oven to 180°C
  • Place the raisins and sultanas into a bowl and blend until the mixture is chopped and well combined
  • Add the carrot, egg, golden syrup, mixed spice, ground cinnamon, mashed banana and blend again
  • Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl and stir in the Cerelac, mixing until it is well combined
  • Spoon the mixture into a prepared baking tin
  • Bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until golden and firm
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes and turn out onto a chopping board
  • Cut into squares and allow to cool completely
  • Serve
