You cannot fast-track the stages of your baby’s development, but you can help by creating a stimulating environment. The variations in a baby’s development add new meaning to the word normal – just enjoy the interesting individual who has come to live with you.
Your baby sits alone and pivots into a crawling position. He crawls on extended limbs and holds on to furniture to pull himself up to stand. He bangs blocks together, claps hands, and points and pokes at objects. Small objects intrigue him, and he picks them up with a few fingers and his thumb.

Look out, baby’s on the move!
Your baby starts moving around in his own fashion. He may crawl, usually backwards first, using one arm or leg, or drag himself along. Some babies roll over and over to where they want to be, others shuffle while sitting.
Baby’s personality really shines through at this stage, along with a desire to explore anything and everything. For parents, this is the time to put extra focus on baby’s safety and ensure childproofing measures are in place.
At this stage, baby’s development is on ‘fast-forward’. It’s an ideal time for sitting up and looking around. So, what’s the most interesting thing for baby right now? Baby’s mouth! It’s a great exploring tool - and little fingers fit in there so well.
